Description
Droncit® (praziquantel tablets) 23 Feline Cestocide is a dependable dewormer with a history of safe and effective elimination of tapeworm infections caused by Dipylidium caninum and Taenia taeniaeformis in cats and kittens that are at least 6 weeks of age.
Droncit® is an easy-to-administer oral tablet that’s scored for accurate dosing and effective in a single dose for cats and kittens at least 6 weeks of age. It’s an ideal treatment to keep on hand in the clinic for cats or kittens with increased risk for tapeworms, such as those presenting with fleas. Droncit® can also safely be used on newly adopted or recently found kittens (6 weeks and older) brought in for their first exam.
CAUTION: Federal (U.S.A.) law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Not intended for use in kittens less than 6 weeks of age. In field trials, diarrhea and salivation were reported.

Each tablet of Droncit® contains 23 mg praziquantel.
Droncit® 23 Feline Cestocide tablets can be administered directly or crumbled and mixed with the cat’s food. The optimum dose for each individual animal is:
- Cats and kittens weighing 4 lbs. and under: ½ tablet
- Cats and kittens weighing 5-11 lbs.: 1 tablet
- Cats and kittens weighing over 11 lbs.: 1 ½ tablets
Droncit® 23 Feline Cestocide is available in 50-count and 150-count bottles.
